The Swiss GP had set the bar high in its inaugural 2016 edition but yesterdays event turned out to be even much better. While the results of the home riders added to the electric atmosphere the 24MX Honda rider experienced a weekend of mixed fortunes.Keeno was less fortunate on Saturday. The former MXoN winner went down twice, the first time he hurt his hand, the second time his neck and back.

The arena-like setting of the Frauenfeld track was not only packed, weather conditions had improved has well with glorious sunshine all day long. Ken De Dycker rode a steady first race. He placed 17th in the opening lap and held on to that position for the duration of the moto.

Especially in the second moto Ken de Dycker felt under the weather after his two crashes on Saturday. Unable to continue ¨Keeno¨ pulled off the track after three laps.

Ken de Dycker: ¨Not exactly the kind of race weekend I had hoped for! In the free practice and time practice I was feeling quite good but I had bad luck in the qualifying race with two crashes. My seventeenth place  in the first race was kind of okay unfortunately I just lacked energy. In the first few laps I was trailing Searle, Nagl and Strijbos but it quickly felt as if had already done a moto. It’s a shame that I couldn’t push, maybe a slightly better result had been possible otherwise. I just didn’t feel well in the second race, my head was a bit dizzy and I think my back had locked up after the second crash in Saturday. Hopefully I’ll feel better for the Keiheuvel race tomorrow!¨

After a one-year absence MXGP returns to Uddevalla, Sweden next weekend. However Keeno will contest the traditional Keiheuvel International at home in Balen tomorrow.
